!Disclaimer!

The game is really unfinished so don't be surprised if you can't reach the end, there is none! I was caught up in life issues for the last 2 days of the jam and coudln't work on it at all (excuses I know). Anyways I hope you can still apreciate the work done!
I had a blast discovering more of Godot, even if I'm still very much a beginner.

I uploaded a parallel build with the content that was planned for the jam here: https://piroporopi.itch.io/chococastle-post. I hope to continue working on it ðŸ’ª

Concept:

You play as Milky, a bunny stuffed-doll that wakes up in front a Chocolate Castle. She can hear a bell ringing from the inside, driven to find it she'll face Monster-Sweets and meet other stuffed-dolls that have been called to the bell...

Controls:

  • Z (qwerty), W (azerty) : jump/accept
  • Arrow keys: move/select

Gameplay:

The game is a turn-based Action-RPG (heavily inspired from the Mario&Luigi series). The core idea is that during your turn and your enemy's turn you have to press different buttons to perform better actions or avoid damage altogether.

The twist, inspired from the theme "Overload" is the managment of a "sugar" bar that fills when attacking enemies, and provide bonuses or penalties.

Action List:

  • Jump: damage +, sugar +++
  • Use Weapon: damage ++, sugar +
  • Breathe: sugar --
  • Use Item:
    • Chocolate: healing ++, sugar+
    • Sugar: healing +, sugar +++
